Volunteers
Our dedicated volunteers are the heart of CoLA.
- Volunteer attorneys serve on our pro bono panel and take referred cases from our membership. They dedicated over 1,000 hours during the past two years to our members who needed legal services but could not afford to hire an attorney.
- Volunteer speakers give free educational seminars and lectures on subjects of importance to working artists. Individual artist and community members volunteer their time and talents to support our events, conferences and seminars. Interns assist with legal referrals, marketing and community outreach.
- CoLA's all voluntary Board of Directors, comprised of attorneys and business professionals, donated close to 1,200 hours to the business of CoLA in 2004!
In all this comes to roughly a half million dollars in value to CoLA and to its members. We think this is extraordinary and wish to Thank all of our volunteers for this exceptional dedication.
